And just like that folks, I’ve come to the end of another decade of life,
My twenties saw me explore the big city, travel the world, build a career, forge some amazing friendships, move up the country and become a wife!
Honestly speaking, I wouldn’t change a single thing, every experience shaped me in a different way,
Even the majorly crappy parts I’m grateful for – now that’s something I never thought I’d say!
Each experience lead me to where I am today and right now there’s no place I’d rather be,
I’ve grown so much over the last 10 years, today I’m proud of the person I look in the mirror and see!
Because she’s come a long way from her reckless 21 year old days,
She now understands that her time is precious, she’s learning to communicate better, and most importantly, she prays!
Because she’s come to realise that nothing is in her hands, everything is determined by a higher power,
Only God can give her peace and security, not chasing after material things or drowning her sorrows at Happy Hour.
So yes, I’m genuinely excited for my thirties, I’m excited to see what this decade brings and to really come into my own,
To evolve as a person, to better myself, because by no means am I fully grown!
I still have SO much to learn, so many bad habits to correct, it’s a process – what can I say?!
As one chapter ends, another begins, time to focus on being the best version of myself for our little bundle of joy that’s on its way!❤️🙏🏽😉
Hey STG 🙂
Are you throwing a party??? 😀
A while back I decided the only birthdays that *really* matter are GALACTIC burthdays, so the next time that one rolls around, you won’t want to miss it!
B-) Norbert
BTW: CONGRATULATIONS on your exciting transition to the next chapter!
Happy birthday and enjoy your decade-to-come. Great posts by the way, inspirational.
Welcome! 30s are pretty good!
I love your attitude, living into life and being the best you. Go!
Happy birthday, Sharan. Trust the celebrations were lovely. Glad to be reading from your early 20’s (I’d subscribed in 2015) and it’s great to look back to move forward. I’m hitting the big 3-0 next year, and since I’ve started blogging again, I find myself growing too. Excited for the both of us; all the best.
Personally, I think you should hang onto your twenties for at least another five years. Who’s to know?
Congratulations!!! I occasionally come to your blog to read what have you up to (not stalking you, I promise). I’ve always loved the way you wrote your feelings here. Happy 3rd decade to you! 😊
