Am I the only one who’s been smiling like a Cheshire Cat ever since the clocks went back last weekend…I’ll take that as a yes!😂
Look, Summer’s great and everything, I enjoy topping up my Vitamin D levels as much as the next person, I really do. But ever since the temperature dropped 10 degrees, as a naturally hot person (if I do say so myself) I have to say that I’ve let out a mahoosive sigh of relief. I no longer get in to work looking like sweaty Betty every.single.day. Hair plastered to my cheeks, sweat-stained armpits that I try and fail to conceal with my long hair, and perspiration beads running down my temples and upper lip. No need to thank me for painting such an attractive image in your mind… you’re welcome. 🙂
Yeah sure it’s no fun waking up in the cold, but that’s literally the only drawback for me. I don’t even mind waking up in the dark and getting home in the dark. The city looks best lit up and as long as it’s just cold and NOT raining, these are my perfect weather conditions.
Who could possibly dislike wrapping up and being comfy 24/7?! And my boots, Lord have I missed them! As well as my hot water bottle, fleece dressing gown, and collection of jumpers. #SoSexyIKnow. I’m genuinely smiling as I’m thinking about all of these things haha.
Not to mention the endless fireworks displays for Bonfire Night and Diwali coming up next week! And then of course all of the ice rinks for Christmas! I’m not even a big fan of Christmas or anything. Nope, you’ll never catch me ticking off the number of sleeps left until 25th December, it’s just the overall festive period and this time of year that I love.
Well on that note, I’m off to buy some new slippers and maybe I’ll treat myself to a hot chocolate with marshmallows when I return. Happy Winter everyone, I hope you enjoy it as much as I plan to. 😀
I am glad temperatures have gone down and fall is coming…that is good.
Me too Tony 😀
Happy Holidays, too.
You too Neeraj 🙂
OMG I’ve never read anything that I disagreed with more! LOL! I’m a hot guy (ha ha!) – well and truly. I want to be in a T shirt, sweating, barefeet and my biggest problem in life to be whether I kick my legs OVER the thin blanket in bed or under! I cannot bear the cold, I hate the British Autumn-Winter season and the going to work and back in the dark just sets off my S.A.D. like nobody’s business! Thank God I am self employed and work from home and no longer have to worry about such things. In short, give me the ridiculous heat of Bangladesh or parts of India ANY day!
Hmm I think we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one, I would take the darkness over sweltering heat any day of the week haha
