Just A Small Town Girl…

You’re my buddy, my pal, my partner in crime,

We’ve known each other for years but it feels like a lifetime!

And I mean that in a good way, I can’t remember not having you around,

To rant to, to get advice, to lift me up when I’m feeling down.

But it’s not just the serious stuff that I appreciate, you’re also my go-to for fun,

Nights out, waffles and cookie dough, travelling, for all of those you’re my number one.

I don’t really know what I’d do without you tbh, essentially you keep me sane,

Even though you’re an absolute fruit loop, I guess this works because we’re both insane!

We can talk for hours on end and then not remember a single word,

Discussing TV, music, family, work, politics, our variety of topics is quite absurd!

Because nothing is off limits with us, we even relay our bowel movements,

And we have banter for days; in wisecracks and witticisms we are fluent. 😛

Over the years we’ve seen many a face come and go,

But you and I will still be chilling out, maxing and relaxing all cool in 50 years, that much I know.

Seriously though, we should really count our lucky stars,

Because few are blessed to have a friendship like ours. ❤
